Records are only recognised when you apply first, follow the official rules pack and hand in independently witnessed evidence. Money earned is almost never accepted as a record, so these categories measure what your team actually does — people taught, assets produced, sites published, funds raised for charity. Nothing here is an income claim; see the disclaimer.
How an attempt gets approved
1Pick one category and read its official guidelines end to end.
2Apply on the Guinness World Records site — a standard application is free and takes about 12 weeks.
3Wait for the official rules pack before scheduling anything.
4Book two independent witnesses (or a paid adjudicator for same-day results).
5Record the attempt continuously, with a visible clock and a clear start and finish signal.
6Gather the evidence pack: video, logs, witness statements, photographs.
7Submit within the window stated in your rules pack and keep the reference number here.
